Anna Nicole Smith given “over the top” send-off in the Bahamas
Anna Nicole Smith’s funeral was held at the Mount Horeb Baptist Cathedral in the Bahamas earlier today.
Anna Nicole’s body had been held at the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office since her death almost a month ago and was taken to Miami International Airport under police escort first thing this morning. It was then flown by private plane to Nassau and transported to the Cathedral in a second motorcade ahead of the funeral that took place at XXX local time.
The funeral was attended by around 300 invited guests and organiser Patrik Simpson described the theme as “over the top because it’s Anna Nicole”. Anna Nicole had been dressed in a specially made beaded gown and tiara, and the casket, draped in pink cloth with marabou and ribbons attached, was carried into the church along a long red carpet. Neither Howard K Stern or Larry Birkhead were pallbearers but both attended the ceremony.
Press agencies were allowed to enter the grounds of the Cathedral but Sandy Port Development, who owns the land on which the building stands, demanded a charge of $2,000 per still camera and $5,000 per live news camera to cover the cost of the funeral service and burial service.
After the service, her body was taken to the nearby Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums to be buried next to her son, Daniel. The burial was a more private affair with just 30 guests.
Broward County medical examiner Dr Joshua Perper has said he will announce the cause of death next week. He added: “This was a complex case. It was an unusual case from a medical point of view.”
However despite that pending news and today’s funeral, the saga might not yet be over: Anna Nicole’s mother Virgie Arthur is expected to make further attempts to claim the body for re-burial in Texas.
Virgie had tried to stop the funeral taking place today but a Bahamian judge refused the request. Virgie’s lawyer Tom Pirtle said that there are plans to take further legal action but “we are not exactly sure what shape it is going to be”.
Billy Smith, the father of Daniel Smith, has also launched proceedings for Daniel’s body to be exhumed and reburied in Texas.

I am with the mother. This is a mother that didn’t turn her daughter out unlike many other mothers.
The men in this case have lost out on their moral rights because:
WHICH TRUE YOUNG MALE LOVER ( in this case two lovers according to the video ) WILL ALLOW A HALF-CLAD PERSONAL PHYSICIAN TO KISS HER RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM ( in this case two of them ) AND THE PUBLIC?

I’m glad poor Anna Nicole is buried.
Other than that, it’ll have to play itself out. May take years.

After seeing how Anna Nicole Smith’s mother has behaved since her death, it is clear to me the reason she was estranged from her daughter for the last 10 years. She is a money-grubbling, lying, opportunistic selfish woman. I believe Anna when she said she “hates” her, and won’t let her near her children. She is really pathetic, and oh, so phony with the crocodile tears, etc. She wants to dig up son Daniel, and dig up Anna, and take them both, along with baby Daniellyn, to Texas where she can collect money for the exclusive stories about their lives. Karma is going to get you Virgie! Better look out! Anna was surrounded by leeches, both male and female, who just wanted to be obligate parasites for her money and fame. How sad for her! Danielynn will suffer the same fate as her mother, sadly!
