  • Jude Law is delighted to have been awarded the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres award for his contribution to cinema by the French Embassy in London this week and he’s keen to show it off. He said after receiving the award on Thursday: “Apparently there’s a smaller version of the medal you can get - you’ll see me wearing it down Tesco.”
  • George Clooney has joked that his friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have inspired him to consider adoption himself. Amid reports that Brad and Angelina are set to adopt a child from Vietnam, George joked that he’s got a specific of the type of adoption he’d like to make: “I’m planning to adopt a good-looking 24-year-old girl with some cash.”
  • Nicole Kidman has learned how to castrate young bulls on the off chance that she’ll have to perform the act on camera in her new film Australia. Nicole plays a English aristocrat who moves to Australia after inheriting an Outback cattle station in the country in the 1930s. She said of her new skill: “I don’t know if I’ll have to do that [on camera], but it’s best to be prepared.”
