Liz Hurley: I cried almost constantly through wedding celebrations

Elizabeth Hurley has revealed that she cried pretty much constantly during the church blessing and celebration of her marriage to Arun Nayar at the weekend.

Liz and Arun married in a private ceremony on Friday but held a lavish blessing and reception for 200 guests on Saturday at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire. The event was thought to have cost in the region of £2million - and the couple sold exclusive rights to the photos to Hello magazine for a similar amount.

Liz said: “I cried in the church, during [Elton John]’s speech and during our first dance. I’m afraid my stiff upper lip deserted me.”

Arun added that he was on the verge of tears too when he saw Liz in her white Versace gown and diamond tiara: “I have never seen anyone look so beautiful and I was so full of emotion that I had to struggle not to cry. I felt so full of love.”

The couple are now in Arun’s native India for further wedding celebrations.
