Cheryl ColeGirls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole has denied rumours that she’s pregnant with her first child.

Rumours that Cheryl was expecting a baby with husband Ashley Cole began after Cheryl pulled out of a number of recent appearances with her bandmates and changed her mind about judging new reality talent show Britain’s Got Talent at the last minute earlier this year.

Ashley and Cheryl have made no secret that they’re planning to start a family soon, with a source close to the couple reiterating the idea to the London Lite newspaper recently: “Cheryl and Ashley have been wanting a family for ages now, it would be the seal on their relationship and Ashley’s friends have been making it their business to talk about it. It is the talk among Ashley’s football gang.”

A friend of Cheryl’s bandmate Nadine Coyle added that Cheryl is obviously discussing the plans with her Girls: “We had heard the rumours that Cheryl was pregnant, but when we asked Nadine she refused to confirm or deny it, but merely stood there with a wry smile on her face.”

However, Cheryl has now told the Sun: “I am not pregnant. When I am, I won’t have a flat stomach like now.”
