Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose has been released from hospital after nine days of treatment for what is thought to have been a serious case of blood poisoning.

Johnny’s spokesperson Robin Baum confirmed that Lily-Rose is now “doing much better” and has been taken back to the London hotel where the usually France-based family are staying while Johnny films Sweeney Todd at Pinewood Studios.

An onlooker at the hotel reported: “Johnny carefully lifted her from the car, held her close and carried her in. He looked ill with worry.”

A representative from the Sweeney Todd production added: “We have adjusted the schedule to accommodate [Johnny’s] needs at this moment. We understand that [Lily-Rose] is improving. Obviously, everybody at the studio is certainly with them in their good spirits.”
