The Gossip’s Beth Ditto has revealed she doesn’t mind it when people call her fat or ugly.

She told the Sun recently: “I read things where people call me a ‘fat ugly b*tch’ and, you know what? I am a fat ugly b*tch and it’s amazing! I feel like ugly is beautiful.”

“I am at the point where I can take that as a real compliment.”

“If normal people don’t get it and aren’t open to it then that’s fine. I have lots of people who understand.”

She added that she tries to promote the ugly/beautiful idea at the bands’ concerts: “I’d like people to leave with either a feeling of inclusion or absolute disgust. I really like the idea of normal people being disgusted and disturbed!”
