Naomi CampbellNaomi Campbell has said she is “honestly very sorry” for attacking her former maid last year.

Naomi was sentenced to five days community service for the incident a year ago and has also been ordered to attend a two-day anger management class.

An inside source from the class told the New York Post that Naomi appeared humble and ashamed over the assault, saying: “I do honestly feel very sorry. I don’t know if people will believe that. I mean I cannot believe I am sitting here.”

“And, I have said it before, but this time I truly mean it. I feel sorry and I am really going to learn from my mistakes.”

Holding her head in her hands, she went on to say about the incident itself: “I was angry. I was angry all day really, and then it just got to be too much.

“I threw my cell phone at a person, a person who worked for me. I don’t know why I did that. I was angry, so angry, but I realise that is not an excuse for what I’ve done.”

Naomi previously attended anger management sessions in 2000 after admitting to attacking her former personal assistant Georgina Galanis.
