Leonardo DiCaprio’s bodyguards arrested after paparazzi fight
Two of Leonardo DiCaprio’s security team have been arrested after a fight broke out between his bodyguards and photographers during a visit to a holy site in Jerusalem yesterday.
Leonardo is in Israel with girlfriend, model Bar Refaeli and the couple were taking a private tour of the tunnels next to the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem, one of the holiest sites in Judaism.
A spokesperson for the Israeli Police, Micky Rosenfeld told the local newspaper Haaretz that photographers were waiting for them at the exit from the tunnels when the incident occurred and the arrested men were questioned yesterday but no charges have been made at this point.
An onlooker added: “They also visited the Yad Vashem museum, which was closed off to other visitors. Herds of photographers tried to take photos but the couple didn’t let them.”
According to People magazine, Leonardo’s relationship with Israeli Bar has caused a media scramble in the country and the two have been hounded by the paparazzi throughout their short visit, including circling Bar’s family home in the Tel Aviv suburbs.
A local source told the magazine: “They arrived on Sunday morning and her father Rafi was in the car that took them from a private exit in the airport to the family home.”
“Leo was in the front with the baseball hat and Bar was the back and both were hiding from all of the photographers outside the house.”
