• Tori Spelling gave birth to her son at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles yesterday. Liam Aaron McDermott arrived in the early hours of Tuesday morning and weighed in at 6lbs 6oz. Tori’s spokesperson confirmed the birth and added: “They’re all really happy and everybody’s resting now. Tori and the baby are healthy.” Liam is Tori’s first child but number two for her husband Dean McDermott, who has a eight year old son from a previous relationship.
  • Whitney Houston stepped back into the recording studio for the first time in several years yesterday to start work on her comeback album. Whitney’s mentor Clive Davis has reportedly lined up a number of stars - including John Legend and Ne-Yo - to work with Whitney and has already selected seven tracks for her to work on. According to Fox News, Clive has also arranged for Whitney to work with a vocal coach to ensure her voice hasn’t been damaged by years of drug abuse and smoking.
  • Leonardo DiCaprio’s bodyguards will not be charged over Monday’s incident with photographers in Jerusalem. A small group of Israeli paparazzi claimed they had been assaulted by two of Leonardo’s security team after a run-in near the Western Wall in the city but after being questioned by police, the men were released without charged and a restraining order was filed against some of the more persistent photographers: they will not be allowed to go near Leonardo or his girlfriend Bar Refaeli for 30 days.
