  • Katie Price, aka glamour model Jordan, has been voted Grattan Celebrity Mum of the Year ahead of Kate Moss, Heather Mills and Victoria Beckham. Katie, who is currently pregnant with her third child, said yesterday: “I’m so pleased to receive this award. [My sons] Harvey and Junior will be so proud of their mummy.” This Morning host Fern Britton came in second place, followed by Victoria Beckham, Jade Goody and the Duchess of York.
  • Emmerdale’s Ben Freeman appeared in court in Barbados yesterday to hear whether he’ll stand trial for rape - but the prosecution’s case outline went on for that long that the judge had to adjourn the rest of the hearing until today. Ben is accused of raping a 16 year old girl staying at the Almond Beach Resort on the island. If he is found guilty at trial, he could face life imprisonment for the crime.
  • I’m a Celebrity jungle-mates David Gest and Malandra Burrows are reportedly dating after ex-Emmerdale star Malandra split from her boyfriend last month. A source told the Sun: “It is early days but they are getting on really well. David told a few friends he was keen on Malandra after letting it slip he was taking her out on dates. They have been out for some romantic dinners and are really enjoying each other’s company.”
