Angelina Jolie: I’m going to take a break from acting for Pax
Angelina Jolie has said she’s going to take a break from her acting career to focus on new son, Pax Thien Jolie.
According to an Associated Press translation of the Friday’s Ho Chi Ming City Law newspaper, she said: “I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life.”
“I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother.”
She added that she’s worried that being thrown into the celebrity world will be hard for Pax: “Photographs and press coverage will make him upset. I’m very worried about that. I would like to say I’m sorry for bringing this into Pax’s life.”
The director of the Tam Binh orphanage Nguyen Van Trung has revealed that Pax cried with fear when Angelina first entered the orphanage to collect him yesterday because he didn’t know what was happening: “I was a bit worried in the morning. When [he] saw Jolie and two of her big bodyguards, he moved back and cried.”
“Jolie kneeled down and gradually went closer to him. It took about 20 minutes for her to reach him [but] after Jolie made acquaintance with him, he cheered up and trusted her right away.”
“Later he was okay, very cheerful and happy.”
He added that Pax’s initial reticence may have been because he hadn’t be told he was being adopted: “We did not say anything to him, afraid we might put pressure on him and more frightened. We just told him that we are taking him out. You are going to play outside - play with a mother and father.”
The orphanage’s staff helped him pack a bag, including two sets of clothes and his favourite toys, to take with him and taught him a few English phrases like “how are you?” and “what’s your name?”.
Angelina’s oldest son Maddox was also there to collect his new brother. Trung reports Maddox “was very friendly” and held Pax’s hand during their time together.
Angelina is expected to finalise the adoption paperwork today and return to the US with her two sons over the weekend.
In related news, Angelina’s spokesperson has criticised the paparazzi’s behaviour around the family in Vietnam.
Angelina’s international advisor, Trevor Neilson said yesterday: “As Angelina left the orphanage [photographers] opened the door of her car, banged on the doors and threw things under the wheels to try to get them to stop.”
“How would the paparazzi feel if someone was doing this to a car their child was riding in?”

I think it is absolutely terrible that the orphanage did not tell this child that he was going to be adopted. It must have been terrifying to believe you were going to play and never come back. Thankfully, Angelina seems to have his best interest at heart and took the time to let him warm up before getting too close.

Don’t you think it is ironic that one of the English phrases he was taught to say was “what’s your name”.

Why change his name? was it not fashionable enough for her?
The woman has a screw loose, seriously and Brad looks like a sad hanger on.
