Joss Stone has reportedly been advised to review her friends and entourage with the fear that some of them are a bad influence on her and her career.

An inside source told the Mirror that the advice from her management team has come after strange behaviour at recent appearances such as her American accent at The Brits and turning up late to gigs.

The source said: “Joss has been stung by all the criticism she has faced of late - especially as her latest single didn’t set the charts alight. But her people believe the route of the problem is closer to home.”

“They think she has to take a deep look at those she’s surrounding herself with. She’s always been friends with an older, more streetwise set, but there’s a feeling that they’re leading her down the wrong path - especially considering how young she is.”

“There’s a concern that she has grown up too fast too young, and there are private fears for her emotional stability. Her people are keeping a closer eye on her at the moment. At least she has been keen to heed their advice and has already begun losing people who some may consider to be a bad influence.”

“She’s still young and very conscious of what people think, but she’s got to get her house in order and root out any wayward influences.”
