Madonna is reportedly planning to move to New York after getting bored with life in England.

At the moment, Madonna, husband Guy Ritchie and their three children split most of their time between their central London home and a country estate in Wiltshire. Madonna has previously expressed her love of being the lady of the manor and about settling in the UK for good but according to the New York Post, she’s planning the move after getting increasingly annoyed with various aspects of British life.

The newspaper reports that she’s been looking around four family-sized townhouses on the Upper East Side of New York but was particularly taken with an £18million seven-bedroom/ten-bathroom/three-kitchen home spread over six floors, with its own gym and sauna.

A source close to the family told the newspaper that she is “seriously looking to buy” a family home in the city to replace her existing apartment there: “Living in the English countryside must be getting a bit monotonous for her.”

“She has actually flown here to concentrate on finding a New York home where she will spend a good deal of time and perhaps even raise her children here.”

A second source told the Sun: “Madonna, Guy and the kids are definitely moving to New York this year. The deal is to spend as much time there as in London - if not more.”

“Guy hasn’t been as keen on the idea but Madonna is insisting they are moving.”
