• Hilary Duff has revealed that her split from Joel Madden last year inspired some of the songs on her new album ‘Dignity’ - particularly after Joel instantly hooked up with Nicole Richie. Hilary, who dated Joel for over two years, said recently: “Last year was really difficult. It’s not fun seeing your ex with someone else.”
  • Larry Birkhead’s former US attorney Debra Opri has claimed she no longer represents him as a client because he’s getting too close to Howard K Stern. Debra told Extra: “I just had enough. I can’t represent a client who has a middleman by the name of Howard K. Stern. I feel very comfortable in my decision and I wish Larry the best. But I am worried about him.” TMZ, however, claims Larry was the one to do the dumping: a source told the website Larry was uncomfortable with some of the suggestions Debra was making regarding the case.

It probably has to do with my father - the only way we could interact was for him to take me to watch football every weekend, basically for me to pretend to be his son. I latched onto that. All my friends would be groups of boys… all of us shouting and chanting at football matches.”
