Naomi Campbell doing a “fine job” on cleaning community service
Naomi Campbell did a “fine job” on the first day of her community service, according to her boss for the week, departmental chief Albert Durrell.
Naomi spent the day cleaning offices at the Department of Sanitation building and sweeping the floor within the building’s garages - and she was banned by the terms of the court order from smoking or using her mobile phone.
Durrell told reporters: “Basically, she did fine. Her job was sweeping the floors of the garage from one end to the other. There was a lot of water and residue including salt from recent snow, so that needs clearing.
“She changed out of the stilettos she arrived in and wore combat boots and an orange vest. She was dressed appropriately. She did not complain and carried out the tasks.”
An inside source added more details of the job: “The [garbage] trucks were coming in and out [of the garage]. She had to keep clearing up the mess they left. The garage is full of mud and grit that falls off the smelly trucks. She had to pick up cigarette butts too.”
“She was hiding behind dark glasses and a hat, with a dust mask on her face. She didn’t want any part of her exposed.”
“Someone tried to take her picture and she screamed at a policeman to grab the camera. This is hardly her usual work, so she doesn’t want to be snapped.”
Naomi has been scheduled on locker room duty today and won’t be allowed to get out of any of the ickier tasks, with Durrell adding: “If they’re dirty, she’ll be cleaning toilets.”
