• Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin have sold the photo rights for their wedding next year for £1.5million - £500,000 more than their WAG contemporaries Ashley and Cheryl Cole got last year, and £600,000 than David and Victoria Beckham got for their wedding in 1999. Coleen and Wayne’s deal includes exclusive pictures of Coleen’s 21st birthday party next month. A friend of the couple’s said about the deal: “They know how much they can earn as a brand. They’re cashing in.”
  • Stephen Fry thinks British actors may overrated by Hollywood and come across as a lot more “artificial” in front of the cameras compared to their US counterparts. Writing in the Radio Times this week, Stephen said: “I shouldn’t be saying this but I sometimes wonder if Americans aren’t fooled by our accent into detecting a brilliance that may not really be there. Would they notice if Jeremy Irons or Judi Dench gave a bad performance? Not that those two paragons ever would but it’s worth considering.”
  • Dita Von Teese has she hasn’t lost her faith in marriage after separating from husband Marilyn Manson in January. Dita, who had been with Marilyn since 2001 before marrying in 2005, told Grazia magazine recently: “I definitely hope to marry again. I believe in that kind of commitment.” She added that she’s been inspired by her recent visit to Paris Fashion Week: “And I saw some stunning wedding dresses in Paris.”
