• David Beckham was reportedly rather anxious about his new haircut at the Sport Industry Awards 2007. According to the Sunday Mirror, he called his hairdresser sister Joanne complaining his new look was “too flat” and she raced over to the event with hair gel to provide the desired extra spikes.
  • Dr Joshua Perper, the Broward County Medical Examiner, has confirmed that none of the 11 drugs found in Anna Nicole Smith’s hotel room were prescribed to her. Eight of the meds were prescribed to Howard K Stern, two to an “Alex Katz” and one for Anna’s personal psychiatrist Dr Khristine Eroshevich - who wrote all the prescriptions. Perper has also acknowledged that it had been a bad idea for Anna to take sedatives when she was already too weak to get out of bed but even if someone else gave her the drugs: “It’s not wise for sure, but it’s not homicide.”
  • Cameron Diaz has revealed she developed a scone obsession while in the UK filming The Holiday last year - but it was more the accompanying cream and jam rather than the cakes. She said recently: “When the scones were all gone but there’s still cream and preserves left, I’d scoop that all up with the knife and make a knife scone! Then I’d eat it all.”
