  • Mandy Moore’s spokesperson has confirmed that the singer/actress has fractured her ankle after she was snapped wearing a heavy-duty leg support at the weekend. The spokesperson told People magazine that Mandy was injured while jumping off a boat during a photo shoot for Self magazine: “It happened at the end of February in Mexico. It was for one of the setups for the spread where she had to jump into the water.” Mandy has been wearing a cast since then but takes it off for events - such as her appearance at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday.
  • Britney Spears reportedly celebrated the finalising of her divorce settlement from Kevin Federline with a low-key night out in Las Vegas. Britney, who left rehab just over a fortnight ago, was spotted at Tao Asian Bistro with two female friends on Saturday night. A fellow diner reports: “Britney was dressed casual, wearing a light coat, hat and blonde wig. She and her friends ate vegetable dumplings, hot edamame, a California roll, and they split a wasabi filet. This wasn’t a wild night out. Britney drank Pepsi and the girls were in and out in about an hour. Britney seemed very happy.”
  • Halle Berry has revealed she and her management team often have to work hard to persuade filmmakers to allow her to audition for roles that have been unnecessarily marked as requiring a white actress. Oscar winner Halle recently landed the leading role in Things We Lost In The Fire but she had to fight for it: “That was written for someone white. So was Perfect Stranger. My manager and agent just keep calling to remind them I deserve to be seen. All I ask is a chance to get in the room.”
