Britney SpearsAn explanation has been offered for Britney Spears‘ sudden recent attendance at LA Lakers basketball games - she fancies Lakers forward Luke Walton.

Britney has made several appearances courtside over the last few weeks and according to different sources, she and 6′8 tall Luke are trying to organise their first date.

An inside source from the Lakers told the Daily Star: “They would be an unlikely looking couple with him towering over her. But Britney’s not had much luck with men so why not give Luke a go?”

“His people and her people are trying to thrash out a date when they can have a bite to eat and then we’ll see what happens.”

Another source told the Mirror that Britney loves watching Luke working his magic on the court: “She even chants his name when the rest of the fans do. Her face lights up when she sees him do well. She’s really fallen for him.”

“This is just what [she] needs. A careerdriven man to keep her on the straight and narrow - not someone that she has to support.”

“It’s early days yet but she’s happy.”
