Heath Ledger has refused to confirm or deny rumours that he’s married Michelle Williams because they prefer to keep their relationship private.

Heath said in a recent interview: “We try not to talk about [our relationship], to keep it our own kind of thing. It’s obviously very sacred.”

“People write stories regardless. The stories haven’t necessarily been bad. So we’re letting people run with their assumptions.”

He added that their marriage would be announced when there are “photos of us wearing our wedding rings”.

The couple are rumoured to have married in Brooklyn late last year after picking up a marriage licence last November. They were then spotted wearing rings on their ring fingers in February.

When asked about these pictures, Heath refused to comment on whether that was confirmation that they had married, saying: “You can write whatever you wish.”
