Larry BirkheadThe results of the recent DNA tests of Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn have confirmed that Larry is the baby’s father.

The tests were ordered by a Bahamian court as part of the ongoing custody battle over the seven month old baby girl and the results were confirmed earlier today by DNA expert Dr Michael Baird.

Analysing the samples from Larry and Dannielynn, Baird concluded that there is a 99.9999% probability that Larry is her father, so “essentially he is the biological father”.

Larry attended the court with his brother, sister and their children - he told reporters on his way into court “I hope to leave with one more” and said “I told you so” after the results were announced, adding “I think [Anna Nicole] would be proud I fought”.


Confirming earlier reports at the weekend, Howard K Stern has said he will not fight Larry for custody and he will support Larry is Anna Nicole Smith’s mother Virgie Arthur continues her battle for the child.

Howard told reporters outside the Nassau court: “I am obviously very disappointed. I am not going to fight Larry Birkhead for custody .. I will do everything I can to make sure he gets sole custody.”

No details have been given regarding the handover of the child but Howard said he hopes that it would be a gradual move to help Dannielynn adjust to the change and he invited Larry to spend as much time as he wants with her at Anna Nicole’s former home until the custody arrangements are finalised.
