Leonardo DiCaprio and girlfriend Bar Refaeli are reportedly expecting their first child together.

Friends of the couple claim Bar’s pregnancy have spurred the recent engagement rumours: the couple are thought to be planning to marry in a small ceremony in Israel over the summer, with the baby due in the late autumn.

A source told the Mirror that both Bar and Leonardo are “delighted” at the news and Leonardo can’t wait to be a dad after seeing how much friend Tobey Maguire is enjoying fatherhood: “He dotes on Tobey’s little girl Ruby and has been asking him all about what it’s like being a dad.”

The newspaper also reports that Leonardo’s people have contacted several exclusive venues in Bar’s native Israel for staging the wedding and reception: sources from both the Dan Accadia Herzliya Hotel near Tel Aviv and King David Hotel in the Old City, in Jerusalem claim to have been approached regarding the nuptials.

Leonardo and Bar have been dating for around 15 months after Leonardo split from supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Earlier this year, Leonardo confirmed he is financially supporting a young girl he met at an orphanage in Mozambique while filming Blood Diamond.
