Jessica Alba has revealed that she was contractually banned from looking at Beverly Hills 90210 stars when she, as an unknown actress, made a guest appearance on the show in 1998.

She told OK magazine recently that she didn’t understand why she was forbidden from making eye contact or speaking to the stars: “I don’t really know why. Maybe because the leading characters were so popular they didn’t want other actors looking at them.”

“You wouldn’t be allowed to talk to them unless they spoke to you first. It was bizarre. But I guess that’s what happens when you become a big star.”

She added that she would never make a similar demand and that she always tries to avoid being a diva on sets: “A lot of actors get away with murder on set, but I always like to be part of the crew.”
