Melanie Brown is reportedly devastated over Eddie Murphy’s behaviour following the birth of her child Fortuna Daphne Bay last week.

The former Spice Girl claims that Eddie is the father of the 10 day old girl but Eddie is insisting on DNA tests.

A source told the Mirror: “She is distraught that her baby has been subjected to the DNA-testing procedure. She can’t believe that it’s come to this and that Eddie hasn’t just admitted that the child is his. He hasn’t even sent a card or bunch of flowers.”

“This last week should have been an incredible time for Mel, but it’s been emotionally overwhelming and she’s been constantly in tears. [But] she’s a strong-willed woman and will fight to the end.”


Mel has reportedly signed a £250,000 magazine deal for Fortuna’s first photoshoot to show that Fortuna and Eddie have the “same eyes”: “They look very much alike and she wants to let everyone know that Eddie has to take his responsibilities as a father seriously.”

“She [also] feels so wronged by Eddie and wants to put her side of the story across. She was very publicly dumped live on Dutch TV. Now she is getting her revenge in an equally public way.”
