Scarlett Johansson: selling sob stories is vulgar
Scarlett Johansson has said she will never sell a story about her personal life because she thinks it’s “vulgar”.
She said recently: “I’ll never sell my sob story to some magazine.”
“I read those issues in which people are crying on a reporter’s shoulder and the reporter writes, ‘Then she starts to sob…’
“Stories in which gals open up a little too much make me go, ‘Aaaagghh!’ They talk about their bulimia or their drug addiction. I think: ‘Why are you doing this?’ It’s vulgar.”
