Lindsay Lohan: sobriety has made me a better actress

Lindsay Lohan believes her stay in rehab earlier this year has helped her acting skills.

Lindsay checked herself into a month long residential treatment programme at the Wonderlands facility in Los Angeles but continued working on her new film I Know Who Killed Me during the day.

She told Allure magazine recently that she doesn’t know “that I’m necessarily an addict” but in a subsequent interview with Entertainment Weekly revealed that her newfound sobriety helped her focus on set: “There’s no distractions. [Acting] just comes more naturally. It’s not so much a job.”

“[During rehab] I noticed how much better I was [at acting]. How much more clear my thoughts were, too.”

She added that the programme helped her realise: “There’s a way of dealing with hardships that are healthier than going out. That’s what I’ve learned.”
