Geri HalliwellGeri Halliwell has asked her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham to be the godmother of her 11 month old daughter Bluebell.

Bluebell is set be to christened in a private ceremony in Hampstead this weekend and Victoria is set to fly over from Madrid for the service. George Michael’s partner Kenny Goss will be the baby’s godfather.

A source told the Sun: “Victoria was thrilled to be asked to be godmother.”

“Although they fell out when Geri walked out on the Spice Girls years ago, they became really close again. Geri’s relied on her old friend for advice on motherhood and is delighted Victoria is flying over.”

“Kenny will be godfather - so [Bluebell] will have interesting godparents.”

Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton are also expected to attend the event.
