Larry Birkhead has expressed confusion at why the custody case for his daughter Dannielynn is still unresolved after his paternity has been confirmed.

Along with Anna Nicole Smith’s mum Virgie Arthur, Larry attended what was thought to be the final hearing of the case in Nassau in the Bahamas on Friday but on leaving the court, he told reporters: “Everything is confusing to me. I don’t know why we are still here.”

Legal restrictions prevent Larry or anyone else involved with the case discussing it outside the court but Larry added: “I can say that I am happy everything went well and I’m moving toward starting a life with my daughter out of the Bahamas.”

Howard K Stern attended the court with Larry and also expressed surprised that the case wasn’t concluded on Friday: “I wish it was over today. It should have been over today.”

The various parties are expected back in court again on Wednesday.
