• Just a day after Larry Birkhead was given permission to take daughter Dannielynn to the US, Anna Nicole Smith’s mum Virgie Arthur filed an appeal to prevent the infant leaving the Bahamas. Larry had been given permission to take Dannielynn to his home in California until the next custody trial hearing in June but Virgie has tried to block the move. The appeal will assessed in the Nassau courthouse today.
  • Emmerdale star Ben Freeman is to appear in court in Barbados today to find out whether he will stand trial for rape after an incident at a holiday resort in the country earlier in the year. Ben’s legal team have argued that there isn’t enough evidence for trial but after hearing evidence from around a dozen witnesses, a magistrate will decide today whether the case should proceed. If it does, Ben is likely to be jailed until the case comes to court.
  • Rapper/actress Eve was arrested on suspicion of drunk-driving in the early hours of Thursday morning after crashing her car on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Police sources claim her blood-alcohol level was “double the legal limit” at the time of her arrest. She was released on $30,000 bail for misdemeanor drunk-driving charges and will appear in court over the incident on 17th May.
