Peter Andre has reportedly been admitted to hospital after fighting a mystery illness for two weeks.

According to the Sun, wife Katie Price, who is due to give birth to her third child in June, has been at his bedside since he was rushed to hospital at the weekend.

Peter fell ill with a stomach complaint when the couple returned to the UK following their publicity trip to Los Angeles earlier in the month. He was taken to hospital by ambulance on Saturday after his condition worsened and was put on a drip overnight before being released on Monday - only to return to the hospital again later that evening.

His spokesperson Claire Powell told the newspaper that Peter has been tested for a variety of illnesses - including having a brain scan: “Peter’s not well at all. He’s had lots of tests, but nobody’s any the wiser.”

“I can’t say when he’ll be back at work. He has to get better first. He’s just really poorly.”

A friend of the couple’s added: “He was in bed at home for a week with diarrhoea and vomiting.”

“When he was taken to hospital, he was so weak he had to be helped on board the ambulance.”

“Jordan is frantic with worry. Obviously she’s desperate to get to the bottom of what’s wrong.”
