Melanie Brown: Eddie Murphy refusing DNA for test

Melanie Brown has claimed Eddie Murphy is refusing to take a DNA test to assert the paternity of her month old daughter, Angel.

The former Spice Girl is adamant that Angel Iris Murphy Brown is Eddie’s daughter and has named him on her birth certificate but she says Eddie is refusing to cooperate.

She told People magazine on Tuesday: “He’s not doing a DNA test and he’s not signing the birth certificate. So it’s going to have to go to court so he can be forced to do it, which is strange since he was the one asking for it.”

“He hasn’t seen his daughter. My people have contacted his people and they just had no response to anything.”

“I just think no woman should have to go through that and no baby should have to go through that. Be responsible. What else can you say?”

But Eddie’s behaviour hasn’t stopped Mel enjoying her new daughter: “It’s amazing. I love being a mom. I love kids, period. I’d have another one tomorrow if I could.”

“I feel great! I’m happy. I was a happy pregnant woman and now I’m a happy new mum. Life goes on, and I have two beautiful children.”
