Marcia Cross has joked that she’s promised Desperate Housewives cretor Marc Cherry that she won’t get pregnant again.

Housewives bosses were forced to re-write sections of the current series of the show after Marcia got pregnant, then early this year turned her real-life home into a set from the show so Marcia could continue filming after she was put on bed rest by doctors.

But that’s not to say Marcia and husband Tom Mahoney have completed their family. She said recently: “I promised [Marc] I wouldn’t [get pregnant again], but you never know if there’s an adoption in the future.”

Marcia has had time away from the show after giving birth to her twin daughters in February but is set to return for the season finale. She wouldn’t discuss her storyline for the show: “All I will say is it’s got something to do with pregnancy!”.
