Amy Winehouse’s fiance Blake Fielder-Civil has reportedly agreed to convert to Judaism so that he and Amy can have a traditional Jewish wedding.

The couple, who got engaged last month, are said to be planning an intimate ceremony for just friends and family later in the year and according to the Sunday Mirror, Amy has asked Blake to convert.

A friend of the couple’s told the newspaper: “Amy has asked Blake to convert to Judaism. He isn’t religious so it’s no skin off his nose. He will do anything she wants and has spoken to her dad about it.”

“Their wedding will be a traditional Jewish ceremony. For Blake and Amy, family is very important.”

“They are very close to their parents so they will want them all to be there. It’s not going to be as rock and roll as you’d expect.”

Amy and Blake met two and a half years ago and their split a year later inspired many of the songs on Amy’s latest album Back in Black. After an 18 month break, the couple got back together in March this year and Amy is quoted as saying last week: “I f***ing love the guy.”
