  • Brittany Murphy has reportedly married her boyfriend Simon Monjack after the two were spotted wearing wedding rings at a Kentucky Derby event at the weekend. A source told UsMagazine.com that they tried to keep their hands hidden: “They didn’t want photographers to take pictures of their rings because they were waiting to make a formal announcement.” The couple began dating last autumn. No further details about the wedding are yet known.
  • Usher has officially fired his mum as his manager because it was awkward having her do both roles. He said regarding the change: “She and I are on great terms and support each other in our life’s endeavors. This [change] is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother with no added pressure. At this time in my life, I am simply more interested in building the strength of my family. And in order to do that, I feel it’s best to separate my business life from my personal life.”
  • George Michael has pleaded guilty to driving while unfit due to the use of drugs, following his arrest in October last year. George’s car reportedly obstructed the road after he fell asleep at a set of traffic lights in North London. Appearing at Brent Magistrates’ Court today, he admitted the offense, causing a second related charge to be dropped. He is likely to be fined for the offence.
