• Kylie Minogue has confirmed that she will star in the Christmas Doctor Who special but she won’t be playing an enemy of the timelord. She confirmed the rumours to InStyle magazine recently and said that she and “my gay husband” (stylist William Baker) were both excited about her appearance: “But I’m not going to play a villain.”
  • My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly gave birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Friday morning. Her spokesperson confirmed the arrival of the 6lbs 4oz boy, who is the first child of Jaime and fiance Eric Cubiche. The couple have named the new arrival Dezi James - Dezi inspired by Eric’s Desi Arnaz (from I Love Lucy) impersonation and James after Jaime’s father.
  • Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman has separated from his wife Jo just eight months after they welcomed their daughter Nico into the world. A source close to the couple told the Mirror that Guy has moved out of the family’s £2million home in Hampstead, north London: “They’ve realised that things aren’t working and that means they’ve got to be apart. Guy’s moved out of their house for the time being but has stayed close so he can see as much as possible of baby Nico. As far as splits go, it’s all been pretty amicable.”
