Brad Pitt can’t wait to get back to New Orleans
Brad Pitt has revealed that while he’s currently sleeping in Prague, he’s thinking about New Orleans the whole time.
Brad and the rest of the Jolie-Pitt clan are staying in the Czech Republic’s capital while Angelina Jolie films Wanted in the city but in a telephone interview with the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Brad said he’s missing the Big Easy and the family home in the French Quarter.
He said: “For me, first as a tourist, it’s the most unique city that we have in the States.”
“It has an energy like no other place. You guys shouldn’t change a thing. I’ve got to get me some of it. I absolutely love it there.”
“We moved our family there. We’ve got a place there and we’re intermittently going back and forth. We’re in Prague now because of work. We’ll be back there soon.”
“Living in the French Quarter is a thrill for us. We have some semblance of real family life. People have been very, very gracious with us. If we’re on the front deck, people go by and say, ‘Hi.’ Then they go on their way, very friendly.”

He said that in an interview to the local paper. Of course, he was being diplomatic and telling people what they want to hear.
I wonder if celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, with their all-consuming self-absorption, realize that wherever they choose to live they RAISE PROPERTY VALUES. I would be willing to bet property values in the French Quarter alone have at least doubled, if not tripled (quadrupled?) post-Katrina, because of all the rich white yuppies (ahem … “tourists”) looking for some “color” and “culture” in their mundane, corporate lives. The city of New Orleans does not need $4 million homes, a la Brangelina. That is why there are places like Beverly Hills and the Upper East Side, with already explosive costs of living, where celebrities naturally congregate, leaving the rest of the world to normal people.
Give it another year, that poor city will be whiter than Barbara Bush’s a*s. What a crying shame. I wonder how REAL New Orleaneans feel about that dynamic.

Brad the Pitt is planning to run for office. He and Jolie hooked up and she tried to change her image exactly for that reason.
That is why they keep proping the kids up with Newsweeks, and talking about how they rescued them to the press. Then they wonder why the kids are being chased by the press like other celebs?????
Brangelina have a political agenda.
Jolie even got a political advisor even though she holds no office, and takes over countries like she is royalty.
Open your eyes America.

I am a real New Orleanian and I appreciate Brad’s support. New Orleans DOES have a feel all of its own, but that feel comes from her people, not the architecture. I want all New Orleanians to come home because I know that many are hopelessly homesick. But I also welcome new people to the city that can feel the true soul of the city and add to the gumbo. Brad is one of those people and I am glad to welcome him as long as he wants to stay. Now if we can just get the US government to feel we are “worth” saving.

Having been in New Orleans since Sept, 2nd, 2005. I concider myself a voluntourist. I’m one of the few Veterans for Peace members who brought food water and tools to help. When the National Guard was forcing residents on buses with one way tickets out of town and Red Cross were attempting to starve out the rest. Not to mention the police looters, and the property owners of low income housing were attempting to evict the dispursed while they still paid the rent.
Brad is quite right. There is no other city in the country like New Orleans. Unique is a understatement. Brad Pitt invested in his family and the city’s future. His support of the Rebuild Green Project in the Holly Cross, is more than I can say for many of the families who have lived here for generations. Many of these same families owned slaves and made their riches of the labors of thier so called “PROPERTY”.
Since they can’t get the decendents of their slaves to clean their homes, mow their grass, cook their meals or wipe their children’s asses. They have spent a great deal of time and money trying to keep them from returning to rebuild what they created since slavery for themselves.
So, when you jump all over Brad’s case about raising the property values of the French quarter mansions remember this, he is also helping to rebuild other parts of town with the goal of reducing the cost of living for other who are less fortunate. Thats more than you can say for many much richer Neworleanians.

Brenda, I bet you are that kind of person who can not stand to see others do better than you. It’s okay to be jealous but with admiration not sounding jealous because you don’t or can not have what others is having. Therefore, you have to thrashed the person/s to feel better inside. You need help!!!You need medical help big time.

Brad lost his looks. Even the latest eye tuck didn’t help him.
