Elton JohnDavid Furnish is reportedly keen for partner Sir Elton John to give up touring now the entertainer has turned 60.

Elton, who entered into a civil partnership with David in December 2005, has been performing in Las Vegas since February and is set to embark on a European summer tour before returning to Las Vegas in the autumn.

David told Closer magazine recently: “We’d never want to change each other, but it would be so much nicer to spend more time together. I’d rather have more days with him than without him.”

“I’ve seen loads of him but it’s not the same as being in the same place at the same time.”

Elton celebrated his 60th birthday with a lavish party then concert in New York in March and David added that Elton enjoyed his special day: “It was great for him to feel how loved he is by his friends.”

“He’s been in an absolute bubble floating along happily ever since. There’s been a change in his attitude, in a completely positive direction.”
