The vicar that carried out the blessing at Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar’s wedding in March has said he’s not received payment for his services.

Liz and Arun were married in a short civil ceremony on the Friday but Rev John Partington carried out a blessing in the private chapel on the Saturday at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire as part of the £3million wedding weekend.

Rev Partington expected a cheque for his services - which he planned to donate to charity - shortly after the event but nothing has arrived.

A village source told the Mirror: “We are shocked someone in her financial position has not coughed up. After all, it’s not as if she can’t afford it.”

A close friend of Liz’s added that she insists she’s paid: “Elizabeth is mortified. She sent off a cheque weeks ago but it must have got lost in the post. Obviously, she will sort this out as soon as possible.”
