David Beckham insists that he and wife Victoria Beckham will socialise as much with his LA Galaxy teammates - and their WAGs - as much as their Hollywood A-list friends.

David and Victoria’s relationship boosted the tabloid celebrity rating of various footballers - and their wives and girlfriends - in the UK and they’re hoping to repeat the experience in the US.

He said recently: “I’ll be hanging out a lot with the players at LA Galaxy and Victoria will make friends with their wives.”

“When we moved to Madrid it was just us and the children and it’s much more tricky to go out and make friends. But this time it’s going to be great going somewhere where we already have good friends.”

“But we won’t just be hanging out with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez.”

“It’s a massive challenge for me to get football on the map.”

The family are expected to relocate to the US in mid-July.
