• Jessica Alba has said she knew from a young age that she wanted to be an actress - but her parents took a little convincing. She told Parade magazine recently: “I had a lot of tenacity from a very young age. I was pretty clear on what I wanted to do with my life – I wanted to act. My dad was like, ‘When are you going to go to regular school? When are you going to get a job?’ It wasn’t until my dad visited the set [of Dark Angel] and saw how hard I worked that he understood.”
  • After five years of court battles, Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin are reportedly close to resolving the custody of their daughter Ireland. The couple have swung from bitter to amicable to bitter again in the long battle but now attorney Neal Hersh has said the end is finally nearing. Hersh said recently: “Hopefully it will come to a conclusion in the near future. We’re hopeful. When we do custody cases, we always have the best interest of the child at heart and that remains foremost in our mind.”
