Amy Winehouse puts new husband and family before career
Amy Winehouse has said despite her current popularity on both sides of the Atlantic, her marriage and family will also come ahead of her music career.
Amy, who married fiance Blake Fielder-Civil in a private ceremony in Florida last month, said this week: “I don’t want to be ungrateful. I know I’m talented but I wasn’t put here to sing. I was put here to be a wife and a mum and look after my family.”
“I’ve always been a homemaker. I love what I do but it’s not where it begins and ends.”
“I’m a caretaker and I want to enjoy myself and spend time with my husband. It doesn’t even feel weird saying it now.”
“I had never felt the way I feel about him with anyone in my life. Blake and I didn’t get to spend any time together for a long while.”
“I was with someone else and he was with someone else, and even six months ago I’d meet up with him and I remember saying, ‘I just want to look after you’.”
