Lily Allen has reportedly admitted that constant touring has caused her to develop a problem with alcohol.

Lily cancelled a chunk of shows in her US tour earlier in the year after admitting she had to get drunk each night before the show to combat her nerves - and now she’s back on the festival circuit, things aren’t any different and she doesn’t like it.

She is quoted as saying recently: “I’m an alcoholic now. It’s not good and that’s why I want to get back into the studio.”

“I’ve actually pulled myself aside and said it will kill me if I keep it up. I’ve got to stop abusing myself because as far as I’m concerned every loon hates me now.”

She added in an interview with Time Out magazine: “When you walk into your dressing room every night and there are 40 beers there, it’s difficult not to drink them all, you know?”

“I have a very addictive personality, and alcohol leads to other things. I don’t want to end up hanging over a toilet seat snorting coke when I’m 50.”
