We’ve decided not to cover Paris Hilton’s prison stay on a day-to-day level.

We read elsewhere that she spent the first two nights crying, is looking rather bedraggled without make-up and her usual hair care routine, and doesn’t like the quality of the food - but we suspect the vast majority of first time prisoners would be the same, spoilt heiress or not.

Consequently, we don’t consider a lot of this “she’s cold and didn’t eat her hot dog” stuff to be news. We’ll cover events but not this day to day stuff.

UPDATE: And now we’ve covered the big event - she’s out of jail already after serving just three full days inside.
