Paris Hilton’s attorney has denied that the heiress is receiving special treatment in the Los Angeles’ prison medical ward where she is being held.

Richard A Hutton reports that Paris is doing a lot better in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility’s unit than she was at the Century Regional Detention Facility at Lynwood last week but it’s because her undisclosed medical condition is being treated and not because she’s being given special considerations.

After visiting Paris yesterday, he said: “The staff here are giving her excellent medical care. She’s being treated the same as everyone else in jail. She is receiving no preferential treatment.”

In a phone call to ABC’s Barbara Walters on Sunday, Paris herself explained that her time at Lynwood: “I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience.”

She also pledged to “make a difference” rather than just looking after herself when she finishes her sentence, saying she would particularly like to help in the fields of breast cancer or multiple sclerosis because members of her family have suffered from both diseases.

But her family might not let her leave her partying lifestyle behind immediately: dad Rick is reportedly arranging a “Get Out of Jail” party in Las Vegas when Paris is released.

A source told the New York Post that Rick has been discussing the idea with Pure in Caesar’s Palace, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Palms Casino: “He was originally asking for a $50,000 cash [appearance] fee to be paid, as well as accommodations and flights.”

“Pure and Hard Rock said ‘no’ flat out, but George Maloof, who owns the Palms, didn’t say yes or no. He’s very good pals with Paris and is the one who once hooked her up with Britney Spears.”

But the source added that after Paris’ various reassignments last week, Rick will reapproach all the venues because the party will be even bigger than before: “Her cost has gone up.”
