Bruce Willis has revealed he didn’t think he’d become a big movie star when he started acting.

After acting as a youngster and at college, Bruce had his professional stage debut in an off-Broadway production, which led onto TV adverts and ultimately his role in 1980s series Moonlighting.

He said recently: “I never wanted to be a movie star. I never imagined I would be!”

“Sure, I did a bunch of theatre in the old days and, in my feeble little mind, I hoped to someday be in a Broadway show and maybe someone would see me and put me in a film. But I never thought, ‘I want to be famous!’”

“I just wanted to act and maybe get a little bit more than I asked for.”
