Jon Bon Jovi has said he has no plans to follow the cliche rockstar path of dating younger women as he gets older.

Jon married high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley in a quickee ceremony in Las Vegas in 1989 and their relationship has lasted during Jon’s more than 20 years as the frontman of Bon Jovi.

Jon told the Daily Mail recently: “I’ve not been a saint. I’ve had my lapses [but] I wouldn’t trade her in for anything.”

“The fact that she’s independent and isn’t needy or possessive helps and she is just a very strong woman.”

“I find that women are much sexier when they age gracefully. I want to see them in cowboy boots and blue jeans and not with so much liposuction that they can’t even close their eyes.”

“You see women with it everywhere in Hollywood and, urgh…”

Bandmates Richie Sambora and David Bryan have both gone through divorces over the last year but Jon insists that more rockers stick to a marriage than is usually thought: “Everyone says we’re about the only couple still together in the rock business, [but] it’s not really true.”

“There’s Bono and his wife Ali and Bruce [Springsteen] and Patti. We’re not the only ones.”
