Lindsay Lohan has reportedly cancelled her Las Vegas birthday plans because she’s decided to stay in rehab for longer.

Pure nightclub confirmed the cancellation of the 21st party on Monday and it was thought the decision had been made because Lindsay would want to steer clear of temptation so soon after finishing her 30 days in rehab.

But now a source has told the New York Post it’s because she won’t have actually left rehab by then: “She is staying in Promises for longer than a month.”

“We don’t know how much longer because of her work schedule, but she is taking rehab very seriously this time and not messing around.”

Lindsay’s estranged dad Michael Lohan is delighted that his eldest daughter has cancelled the party plans. He told The Insider: “it was absurd and thank God she called it off.”

He added that, like him during his time in jail, Lindsay has found religion during her time away from the world: “Lindsay has found this righteous path because she’s going to church and that’s a good sign.”
