Eva Mendes has revealed she found it really hard to film a sex scene with Joaquin Phoenix for their new film We Own the Night.

While many women would love the chance to get naked with the Walk the Line star, Eva has previously admitted to needing a little alcohol to get through it and now she’s explained she thinks it’s Catholic guilt that caused her problems.

She said recently: “I did very much want to be a nun when I was younger.”

“I guess there is this little Catholic girl still inside me somewhere because otherwise I would probably have had no problem with that scene.”

“It’s something I just have to deal with.”
