Jade Goody is said to be “absolutely devastated” after having a miscarriage yesterday.

Jade and boyfriend Jack Tweed announced Jade’s pregnancy at the start of May but now a source has told the Sun that Jade lost the baby at just under 12 weeks.

The source told the newspaper: “The pregnancy came as a surprise, though she and Jack were looking forward to the baby after a very tough few months.”

“She was taken to hospital and told there was nothing the doctors could do. It was very early days still.”

“She is absolutely devastated.”

A second source told the Mirror that recent stress - caused by her driving test on Tuesday and a court appearance on Wednesday over her former childminding stealing £12,000 worth of cheques - may have contributed to the loss: “Jade has been stressed. It’s devastating news for her.”
