Jon Bon Jovi: Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton need to get out of Hollywood
Jon Bon Jovi has said he tries to avoid Hollywood as much as possible these days and he thinks a lot of other people - including Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton - would benefit from doing the same.
In addition to contributing his music to various films, Jon has acted in a number of films and TV shows including Moonlight and Valentino, The Leading Man, U-571 and Ally McBeal but isn’t interested in doing much more in the future.
He told the Daily Mail recently: “I’m not doing stuff like that any more. The thing is, I hate it in Hollywood. It’s such a terrible town.”
“Look at what the world of Hollywood is doing to our young kids. There’s Lindsay Lohan - gorgeous girl and a pretty decent actress too, but she needs to get out and go anywhere else in the world but Hollywood.”
“Britney, too. And as for Paris: I think it’s sad that that young girl has to go to jail, but I also think her poor great-grandfather [Conrad Hilton, the Hilton hotel chain founder] would be turning in his grave over what’s happening now because he worked hard for what he achieved.”
“They need to get the hell out of that town. When I go there, I just do my business and run.”

Wise words. Los Angeles is a town that eats souls, then chucks the used up bodies out as trash. Everyone wants their *pound of flesh* from you, and if you were raised to respect yourself and refuse to put out, you are punished and called ‘difficult’.
There is a carnivorous quality to this town. Whether writer or actor you are treated like a w***e and then told ‘it’s just business’, ‘don’t take anything they say seriously’.
This is very difficult when one minute you are heralded as the greatest thing since sliced bread, and then treated like yesterday’s garbage - by the same person, not to mention fending off the entitled gropings of depraved older men with narcissistic, anti-social and borderline disorders.
The result of dealing with such dysfunction is trauma and disassociation, which is sad as many who come here are looking to fill a gaping hole in them from their childhoods. This is taken full advantage of.
There is a reason so many talented people drink and do drugs and take pain killers here. It is people seeking to escape from ‘what they made you do’ to have your moment in the light you dreamed of, or what you walked away from because you could not. Such people demand your soul. The truth is they cannot stand for you to keep yours, because they lost theirs long ago.
These people here on painkillers are in pain… psychic pain. The culture in LA is narcissistic and sociopathic lacking in basic manners, decency, empathy. It is generally routinely inhuman.
The banality of evil well describes this smoggy place. I never understood why so many took drugs in the entertainment industry until I came here. Then, I understood perfectly. I walked. There are some prices one is a fool to pay.
